The important aspects of starting Archicad usage are:
- Education - You just bought one of the most powerful software tools available. You should learn how to make the most of it. At the very least, work through the Archicad Learning Guide, found on your installation CD. It's a solid tutorial to the program.
- Conversion - You probably already have title blocks that you want to continue to use. These should be converted for use in Archicad/Plotmaker. You should also try to find as many of your existing symbols in the Archicad library. If you do not find what you want, this is the time to make them.
- Application - Use it! Even just working through the Learning Guide will provide you with basic experience in using Archicad's tools.
Standardization - There are tasks that you will repeat dozens or hundreds of times in creating new projects and organizing them. The best way to cut down on this is to create effective Templates for use in your projects. They can be simple and evolve over time, but they are a major time saver, for companies of any size.
