AutoCAD misses Wipeout, the functionality to hide drawing details using the background color, which is -1 pen in ArchiCAD. It's a new feature in AC9 that the translator converts the fills with -1 color to wipeout objects. This ensures that the content hided in ArchiCAD is hidden in AutoCAD as well. This is not related to the settings of previous releases. Setting AC9 as same as AC 8.1 ensures to prevent the display of the proxy dialog only because of other reasons. Wipeout objects are converted from fills using -1 (background) pen. If you don't use this, the message is not displayed. In ArchiCAD, there is no option to turn wipeout converting off.

To make the DWG collaboration smoother, you can disable AutoCAD proxy dialog display in the following ways:

- In AutoCAD, type PROXYNOTICE to the command line, and set the value to 0, or

- In AutoCAD, select [Format > Options], select [Do Not Show Proxy Dialog] option in [Options dialog > Open and Save] tab.

To extend your AutoCAD with wipeout, please contact to your local Autodesk support.

In case of fills: If the user sets [Display options > Fill background color] option to [Drawing background color], the translator recognizes it as a background color fill and saves it as Wipeout. If users set it to [By Element], the error message is not displayed. This is because [Drawing Background] is matched to a color (91 in case of white), and only transparent setting corresponding to -1 generates the wipeout type object. The meaning is the same in the different versions; only the menus are reorganized.
