MAC menu commands are inactive

Issue

All commands in a submenu are greyed for no apparent reason

Cause

The submenu is a duplicate - that is, the same submenu is present twice in the menu structure. ArchiCAD's default menu structure does not have such submenus, but if you manually edit the Work Environment, and drag a copy of a submenu under another menu, then after first using any command in the submenu, all commands in both submenus will be inactive (grey).

Example:

If you duplicate the Palettes submenu, so that it exists both under File and Window menu, then using any commands under the Palettes submenu will inactivate all Palettes commands

Solution

On a MAC, you should not duplicate submenus in the menu structure. Make sure that every submenu is only present once in the menus.
